Dinosaurs, Logging, and Laughter: Our First Time at the Zwolle Loggers & Forestry Festival!

Dinosaurs, Loggers and Laughter

This past weekend marked a brand new adventure for The Dinosaur Experience — our very first appearance at the Zwolle Loggers and Forestry Festival, and what an incredible welcome we received!

The sun was shining, the skies were clear, and the festival grounds were packed with families, forestry enthusiasts, and curious kids. From fascinating logging demonstrations and huge commercial farming vehicles to handmade crafts, food trucks, and stalls of every kind, the event had something for everyone.

And right in the middle of it all? Dinosaurs.

Our prehistoric troublemakers couldn’t wait to meet the crowds. Rexi, our mischievous baby T. rex, was up to his usual antics — chomping at dino toys and trying to bite Ranger Martin’s fingers (again). And Fluffy, our full-size walking raptor, was so excited she got a little too carried away… soaking Ranger Martin with a surprise spray and bumping into anything in her path. The children loved every second of it, and honestly, so did we.

It was an absolute joy to be part of such a fun, family-focused festival. As first-timers, we weren’t sure what to expect — but the response was overwhelming. The kids were laughing, the parents were snapping photos, and everyone was having a blast. We couldn’t have asked for a better debut.

The Dinosaur Experience loves bringing our unique blend of education and entertainment to festivals around Louisiana, and we’re thrilled to add the Zwolle Loggers & Forestry Festival to our growing list of favorite events. We hope this is the start of a roaring new tradition!

Check out the short video below for a glimpse of Saturday’s fun — and if you missed us this time, don’t worry. We’ll be stomping into another town very soon.

Until next time, keep exploring, keep smiling — and watch out for raptors.– Ranger Martin & The Dinosaur Experience team
